Play Daily #32About this case
For Daily #32, the family is in the garage, on a 6 × 5 board with two short walls inside. Half workshop, half storage, the garage is cold underfoot and loud whenever anything drops. The family has been here for one earlier daily. Four of the Fibbersons were there: Dad, the Kid, Grandma and Rex. One of them is fibbing. Everyone wants to know: Who let the air out of the bike tires? Their stories turn on the bike and the trunk, and on each other. Move them around the garage until every story fits but one.

In the room
- Tool wall tall
- Workbench low
- Boxes tall
- Bike low
- Trunk low
- Rain boots flat
Tall here: the tool wall and the boxes. Tall things block every view, though not Rex’s nose. Down at the Kid’s height there are the workbench, the bike and the trunk, low enough for Dad and Grandma to see over. The rain boots lies flat: everyone sees straight past. The room isn’t a plain rectangle: four of the board’s 30 squares are cut away.
How they see in here
In the garage, Dad looks along a row of six squares and a column of five, and a wall or something tall cuts either one short.
The Kid sees his row and column too, but he’s short, so the low things in here stop him as well as the tall ones.
Grandma sees only two squares each way, eight ways round, diagonals included; walls and tall things block her.
Rex can’t see at all: he smells the eight squares around him, straight through walls and furniture.
Every rule, with pictures, is in How to play.
A tip for this room
Start with the tightest story. Grandma sees only two squares each way, so anything she saw was close to her.
